Rooting method 4 for Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc S

Rooting method 4 for Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc S

1: This is easy
It took some time for a rooting method to be found for the Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc S, but when it appeared the process turned out to be exceptionally easy. There is some preparation required as you may expect so make sure that USB Debugging is enabled before you do anything else. Also, ensure that you have installed the relevant drivers and that the phone can communicate with your PC.

2: More setting up
Go to Settings>Applications on the Arc S and ensure that ‘Unknown Sources’ is enabled. This allows the installation of apps from other locations outside of the Android Market and is needed for almost all rooting solutions. Your phone is ready to root. Go to http://tiny.cc/q11w4 and read all of the instructions. It looks complicated at first glance, but it really isn’t.

3: Universal rooting
A script is all that is needed to root the Arc S and included in the link in step 2 are scripts for Windows, Linux and Mac OS. Make sure that you read all of the instructions in the script file and that you do not miss any part. Despite the ease of use offered here, there is still potential for the root to go wrong if you miss an important part of the process.
