Android 4.3 Release Date

As interesting as its score is the fact that the handset seems to run Android 4.3, which it allegedly is the next version of Google’s operating system and its is said that the company will launch it this summer, after everybody was disappointed about the fact that Android 4.3 was not even mentioned at the I/O event. Moreover, the test also shows us that the smartphone is sporting CPU clocked at 1.6 GHz. Unfortunately, the processor model is not mentioned, but if we consider the performance we could guess that the Galaxy Note 3 will be powered by the Exynos 5 Octa.

There is also another detail that makes this benchmark test a little more believable, and I’m talking about the model number of the Galaxy Note 3, which is GT-N7200. If we take into consideration that the model numbers of the original Galaxy Note and the Galaxy Note 2 are GT-N7000 and GT-N7100, respectively, it’s more than obvious that the next generation Galaxy Note 3 to have the mentioned model number. Also, a GT-N7200 handset has been spotted in EXIF data and the reports have said that the device was actually the Galaxy Note 3.

As you can see in the screenshot behind, the Galaxy Note 3 has managed to score 27,914 in AnTuTu, again if this is not just a fake benchmark test.

A new AnTuTu benchmark is surfacing the web, which is reportedly featuring the yet to be announced Samsung Galaxy Note 3. While e still don’t know when the device will be launched, at least we don’t have official news, this benchmark can give us an idea about its performance, if it’s actually the real deal, of course.

Of course, nothing has been confirmed so far, but we can be some suppositions based on the other Galaxy Note handsets and the Galaxy Note 3 reports we had so far. We do not exclude the possibility that this benchmark could be actually fake, especially when we are seeing other N7200 smartphones listed in the image. All of them run various Android OS versions and their scores can’t compete with the one of the Galaxy Note 3.

Anyway, if the device featured by this AnTuTu benchmark is indeed real, it still is a prototype model, meaning that the final version of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 running Android 4.3 will do even better.

According to online publication GSM Insider, the Galaxy Note 3 will be the first handset to come running Android 4.3, which would be a very big deal for Samsung because the latest Android iterations are usually run firstly by the Nexus devices. Another reason why this is surprising is the fact that there have been many reports suggesting that there are some tensions between Samsung and Google, but maybe the companies have managed to work things out. Or maybe the South Korean manufacturer is just taking advantage of the Android PDK.

All in all, we remind you that nothing is official yet and we recommend that you take all this with a grain of salt. However, Samsung will almost certainly release a next generation Galaxy Note phablet and we are looking forward to see what kind of hardware it will be packing. For now, we only have a few rumors suggesting that the Galaxy Note 3 will come with an AMOLED flexible display and that it will be similar to the Galaxy S4 in terms of design.

As for the release date, we expect that the Galaxy Note will be unveiled at IFA 2013.
